To organize the operation of node switching at communication facilities, a large amount of equipment is required. Equipment security is ensured with telecommunication cabinets.

Scope of Telecommunication Cabinets

Switching equipment and various information transmission systems are housed in telecommunication cabinets. This device is made using high-quality material.

In the field of telecommunications, such devices are used to solve a number of tasks:

– High level of protection against burglary and theft.

– Protection of equipment from electromagnetic vibration effects.

– Supply of telecommunication equipment with normal temperature.

Thanks to professional assembly and maintenance of telecommunication cabinets, good working conditions for employees can be created in the office, improving communication quality.

Assembly of Telecommunication Cabinet Frames

  1. Attaching the legs to the base.

Before installation, a nut with a fixator is installed inside the housing.

Then the lower profiles and supporting brackets are mounted. Do not tighten the screws for easy movement relative to each other.

  1. Assembly of the frame’s rear and front parts.

Next, the rear frame is installed, followed by the front frame. Thanks to the dovetailed rear frame located on the lower edge, fixing the rear part is possible. The front frame does not have dovetails. The grille is located at the top of the frame. Windows and holes for wires and grounded cables are located at the bottom of the rear side.

The use of installed profiles in the middle and top allows connecting the frames.

The roof is attached to the top profile with nuts and screws.

Afterwards, installers install mounting profiles. When choosing between cabinet profile distances, it should be considered that it should be the most suitable for connecting equipment. The front profiles are installed so that the handles of the equipment located in the cabinet do not interfere with closing the cabinet door.

Then all screws are tightened.

  1. Door Installation.

Doors, side panels, and rear panels of the mounting rack, which are part of the telecommunication system, must be equipped. Then the rear panel and door need to be fixed.

  1. Installation of Lock on Rear Panel

After opening the box with the door and side panels, proceed to install the lock. Locks that have a 90-degree rotation are installed on the rear panel. This is usually the only latch lock in the telecommunication vandal-proof cabinet. Its installation is not needed.

  1. Mounting Locks with Latches on Side Panel

To install locks and latches on side panels, the cylinder needs to be turned 180 degrees.

  1. Installation of Hinges on Door and Cabinet Frame

A hinge is attached to the frame. If necessary, doors can be installed so that they open to the left and right sides.

  1. Installation of Door on Hinges.

The door must be secured on the hinges and screws during installation.

  1. Installation of Door Lock-Handle.

The lock-handle is fixed after the door installation is completed. Check the position of the latch on the handle of the locking mechanism in the open position.

Most other mounting options are not suitable.

Next, a round rod is installed, which is attached to the door brackets and fixed with bolts.

Then adjust the door mounting angles by tightening with screws.

  1. Installation of Rear and Side Panels.

By adjusting the angle of attachment of the rear panel, the rear and side panels can be installed.

Tighten all remaining screws.

  1. Mounting Grounding for the Cabinet.

Grounding wires are connected to the door and cabinet panels.

  1. Mounting Additional Fan.

Unscrew the hatch on the cabinet roof to install an additional fan.

Latches should be installed on the square holes located in the ventilation module.

Screw the fan module under the roof of the housing.

  1. Mounting Fan Module.

It can be installed on special sliding brackets. This allows placing modules of different depths in the cabinet, which will maximize the use of space.

Then, additional locking nuts should be installed at the module attachment points.

Mount special brackets on both sides, adjusting their length.

Modules should be installed to ensure the most efficient ventilation of components.

Tighten the locking nuts on the module.

  1. Mounting Perforated Shelf.

Nuts with fixators are fixed in square holes of the shelves.

Special mounting profiles are embedded in the side walls, which are fixed with special nuts with fixators. Until the middle, screw in the screws.

The shelf is hung on the screws. Tighten the screws with a screwdriver.

  1. Installation of Console Shelf.

Insert special nuts into the shelf mounting location to secure it in the desired position.

Now it’s necessary to secure the cabinet shelves.

  1. Mounting Sliding Shelf.

Remove the retainer from the telescopic rails.

To secure the profiles on the shelf, you need to use small screws with nuts from the set. There should be a cap on the outer side of the shelf, and a nut inside.

To secure the brackets on the rails, use small screws. The screw heads are inside, and the nuts are outside.

After the rails are installed, tighten the nuts.

To install the rails in the rack, the nuts must be pre-fixed on special brackets.

Before the lock latch clicks, fix the shelf on the rails.

The main thing is to choose the right size of the cabinet in height and width. It should exceed the equipment size by at least 150 mm. This will effectively ventilate the space and prevent overheating of active equipment.

For proper installation, it is necessary to contact a specialist who has extensive experience in this field. Typically, installers use a drill and screwdriver, anchors or screws with a diameter of 5-8 mm and a length of 40-50 mm for fastening.
