A fire alarm system is a set of technical means designed to detect a fire in a timely manner, notify people of the danger that has arisen, and automatically transmit a fire alarm to the appropriate services.
The main functions of the fire alarm system:
- Fire detection — using smoke, heat, flame, gas and other sensors;
- Alarm transmission — to sound and light alarms, security consoles or to the fire department;
- Automatic control — starting fire extinguishing systems, turning on smoke extraction, unblocking evacuation exits;
- Staff information is provided through the scoreboard, sirens, and voice notification.
